✝️ How to Anoint

🙏 Anointing a Person

Glide the rollerball over the person’s forehead, palms, or the area in need of healing, applying a small amount of oil. You may make the sign of a cross as you anoint.

Example prayer:
“I bless and anoint [name] in the name of the Father, Son Jesus, and Holy Spirit.”

Then continue praying for the person’s needs, such as healing, freedom, peace, strength, restoration, or protection.

🏡 Anointing a Home or Objects

As you prayerfully walk through your home, apply a small amount of oil to places such as door frames, window frames, mirrors, and bed frames. You may make the sign of a cross as you anoint.

Example prayer:
“I bless and anoint this bedroom and this bed in the name of the Father, Son Jesus, and Holy Spirit.”

Continue throughout the home in the same way, dedicating each room and the things within it to the Lord and asking Him to establish His peace, presence, protection, and purposes there.

🔥 Commissioning for Ministry

Throughout Scripture, people were anointed and consecrated when they were set apart for God’s work.

As you commission someone for ministry, you may anoint their palms or forehead while pastors and ministry leaders pray over their calling and the work God has prepared for them.

Example prayer:
“I anoint and commission [name] in the name of the Father, Son Jesus, and Holy Spirit. May the Holy Spirit fill, empower, and equip you for every good work God has called you to do. May His gifts in you be stirred up and used for His glory.”

👑 Gifts for the King • Gifts from the Spirit

At Jesus’ birth, the wise men bowed before Him and "presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh." Matthew 2:11 (NKJV)

Through Jesus, we have also been made kings and priests unto God (Revelation 1:6). And just as gifts were presented to King Jesus, the Holy Spirit gives His people supernatural gifts to accomplish the work of His Kingdom.

🔥In 1 Corinthians 12:7–11, Scripture describes nine gifts of the Holy Spirit: wisdom, words of knowledge, faith, gifts of healings, working of miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, different kinds of tongues, and interpretation of tongues. These gifts are distributed by the Holy Spirit “to each one individually as He wills.”

Our prayer is that as you anoint and minister to people, you welcome the Holy Spirit to give what is needed so that people are healed and set free, the Kingdom of God is advanced, and Jesus receives all the glory.
